Case Study: Federal News Network
Federal News Network hired E11 to produce a brand new, fully re-architected, fully redesigned website. Federal News Network is a broadcast radio station in Washington, DC whose website serves as the publication platform for federal government news journalism, podcasts, and features.
The Challenge
Federal News Network’s website design had become dated, and the user experience had become inhibited by the sheer amount of content (10’s of thousands of articles, pages, podcasts, and features). FNN wanted not only a new look and feel, but an entire new way for users to engage with their journalism.
The Outcome
E11 conducted an in-depth discovery including on-site stake holder interviews and workshop to synthesize business goals with aesthetic and UX upgrades. By conducting multiple rounds of research and validation with their target audience, E11 was able to deliver a compelling online experience that increased engagement, time on page, site usability, search engine visibility and ease of use for administrators and editors.
