Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with E11 Group.
General
What makes your web agency different from others?
E11 Group specializes in high-quality, custom WordPress websites designed to be both visually appealing and highly functional. We focus exclusively on mission-driven organizations — nonprofits, government agencies, and professional associations — which means every decision we make is grounded in the unique challenges those clients face.
What types of websites do you build?
We build custom WordPress websites tailored to each client's needs. Whether you need an advocacy platform, a resource-sharing hub, or a government-focused website, we design scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.
Do you specialize in any industries?
Yes. We specialize in nonprofits, government websites, and professional organizations. These clients represent the majority of our portfolio and we've built deep expertise in the compliance, accessibility, and messaging challenges unique to these sectors.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes, we can refresh outdated sites or start from scratch, preserving content if migrating from an existing WordPress install. We'll conduct a full audit before recommending a path forward.
Do you offer a warranty?
There's a 30-day post-launch warranty included with every project to cover any bugs or unexpected issues that arise after going live.
How do you handle data privacy and compliance?
We follow GDPR, CCPA, and relevant federal compliance standards. Every site we build includes cookie consent management, privacy-conscious analytics configuration, and proper data handling practices baked in from the start.
Process & Timeline
What is your design and development process?
Our process runs through four stages: Discovery & Strategy, UX & Design, Development, and Testing & Refinements, followed by launch and training. Each phase has defined deliverables and dedicated feedback windows so you're never left guessing where things stand.
How long does it take to build a website?
Launch in as soon as 2 weeks. Timeline depends on complexity, the number of pages, and how quickly content is provided. We'll give you a detailed timeline during the discovery phase.
What do you need from me to get started?
We'll need a clear articulation of your website goals, existing brand assets (logo, fonts, colors), any content you plan to carry over, and access to the key stakeholders who will be providing feedback throughout the project.
Can I be involved in the design process?
Absolutely. We encourage collaboration and offer structured opportunities for feedback at each key milestone. Our clients aren't just approving deliverables. They're active partners in the design direction.
Will I be able to see progress during development?
Yes. We set up a private staging site early in development so you can review pages as they're built and submit feedback before anything goes live.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a custom website cost?
Projects start at $2,500. Pricing depends on scope, functionality, number of pages, and third-party integrations. Use our pricing wizard to get an estimate tailored to your project.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, installment-based payment plans are available. Payment is typically structured across project milestones: a deposit at kickoff, a mid-project payment at design approval, and a final payment at launch.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Yes. We offer managed hosting, monthly maintenance and support, and retainer-based content or feature updates. These are optional but strongly recommended to keep your site secure, fast, and up to date.
What happens if my project goes over budget?
We set clear upfront expectations and communicate proactively about scope adjustments before proceeding. If a change request would affect the budget, we'll give you a written estimate and get sign-off before doing any additional work.
Technical & Hosting
Do you offer hosting services?
Yes. We offer secure, high-performance managed WordPress hosting with regular core and plugin updates, security monitoring, and daily backups.
Will my website be secure?
Yes. SSL encryption, malware scanning, and regular updates are all included with our hosting. For sites on our managed plan, we monitor uptime 24/7 and respond immediately to any security incidents.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Every website we build is fully responsive and optimized for all devices — phones, tablets, and desktops. Mobile performance is tested throughout development, not just at launch.
Will my website be ADA-compliant?
Yes. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA standards including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, sufficient color contrast, and proper semantic markup. Accessibility is not an afterthought. It's part of every build.
Can you help with domain and email setup?
Yes. We assist with domain registration, DNS configuration, and professional email setup (typically through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
What happens if my website goes down?
As a Launchpad member, you get uptime monitoring and immediate fixes. If we detect downtime before you do, we'll be working on it. And we'll let you know.
Content, SEO & Marketing
Do you provide content writing?
We handle content optimization and can write copy from your direction. You provide brand assets and content guidance — we do the rest.
Will my website be optimized for SEO?
Yes. Every site includes SEO-friendly architecture, metadata optimization, fast-loading pages, clean semantic HTML, and XML sitemap submission. Ongoing SEO strategy and content optimization is available as a separate service.
Do you offer ongoing marketing services?
Yes. We offer SEO and PPC management including monthly audits, keyword strategy, campaign optimization, and performance tracking. We also manage Google Ad Grants for eligible nonprofits.
Will my website work with social media?
Yes. Social sharing, Open Graph metadata, and tracking integrations are all configured during development so your content looks great when shared across platforms.
Post-Launch Support
Do you offer training?
Yes. Every project includes a training session to walk your team through managing content and updates. We also provide a training library of video walkthroughs and written guides tailored to your specific setup.
What if I need updates after launch?
Retainer-based support is available for ongoing improvements, new pages, feature additions, and any changes that go beyond what your team can handle in the WordPress editor.
Can I edit my website myself?
Yes. We build all sites on WordPress with a user-friendly block editor so your team can update text, swap images, add blog posts, and make common page changes without needing a developer.
How often should I update my website?
Regular content updates are recommended. Blog posts, event announcements, staff changes, and program updates help with SEO and keep your audience engaged. For design and structural refreshes, every 2 to 3 years is a reasonable cadence depending on how much your organization evolves.
