For more than 50 years the National Women’s Law Center has won the toughest fights for gender justice — in the courts, in public policy, and in the culture. Facing an unprecedented assault on women’s rights, NWLC launched Project Defiance, a $100+ million campaign to fuel the next era of that work under one rallying cry: Dare. Defend. Defy. E11 Group built the campaign’s home on the web.
The Challenge
A nine-figure fundraising campaign needs a digital home that matches the stakes. It had to feel bold and cinematic, convey real urgency and resolve, tell a 50-year story of impact, and — above all — turn visitors into donors and long-term supporters, with the ask unmistakably clear at every step.
What We Did
We designed and built a video-led, high-contrast campaign site that opens on the $100+ million ambition and the Dare. Defend. Defy. identity. A personal letter from President & CEO Fatima Goss Graves sets the stakes; a “Why Now” section frames the moment; a four-part strategy and a clear breakdown of what annual support powers make the case for giving.
Repeated, frictionless paths to give — “Show Your Support,” “Ways to Give,” and a “Talk to Us” route for major gifts — turn momentum into contributions. The result is fast, responsive, and accessible (Lighthouse: 1.4s largest paint, near-zero layout shift) — a campaign home built to carry a nine-figure effort through 2029.
