Yoast SEO is installed on your site to help each page rank well in search results. This guide walks you through the essential settings to configure before you publish any new content.
Setting Your Focus Keyphrase
On every post or page, scroll down to the Yoast SEO panel below the editor. Enter the phrase people would search to find this content. Yoast will analyze your content and score how well it targets that phrase.
Editing the SEO Title and Meta Description
Click the Search Appearance tab in the Yoast panel. You can customize the SEO Title (what appears in Google results) and the Meta Description (the snippet under the title). Keep the title under 60 characters and the description under 155.
Social Previews
Use the Social tab in the Yoast panel to set a custom title, description, and image for Facebook and Twitter shares. This controls what people see when your page is shared on social media.
