Activate — The Center to Bring Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Research to Youth-Supporting Professionals — translates academic research into practical resources for frontline workers in child welfare, homelessness services, and justice-system programs. E11 built the public-facing resource hub that connects that research to the practitioners who need it.
The Challenge
Translating dense academic research into formats that frontline professionals can actually use on the job. The audience is niche but high-impact; every user is time-starved and serving vulnerable youth. Browsability and filtering had to work at the speed of a busy shift.
What We Did
A WordPress site organized around a searchable resource library and interactive Resource Explorer. Content is filterable by topic, population, and format; practice tools, tip sheets, and conversation guides are authored as distinct content types so they’re easy to find and easy to download. The site is funded by a $4.58M award from the federal Office of Population Affairs.
